Access & WiFi

Your personal/temporary door codes for the side door and garage door will be sent to you prior to your arrival. The side door does not automatically lock. Please make sure it is locked when you leave the house. You can lock it from outside, by just pressing the “checkmark” key. The garage door will shut automatically after being open for 10 minutes.

Note: Occasionally when closing the garage, it will close part way and open back up. If/When this happens, just press and hold the button until it is completely closed.

WiFi SID: argon-ashore-guest Password: Will be sent to you prior to your arrival

Kitchen

The dishwasher is a double drawer style. Instruction sheet is on the counter to refer to.  Please hand wash the knives, pots and pans.

Help yourself to any of the condiments, spices or food in the kitchen.

The ice maker in the island drawer is finicky. Sometimes the bracket unhooks and ice making will discontinue. If this happens, you can use ice maker in the downstairs freezer. (I will be able to re-attach the lever later)

Please use a table cloth and/or placemats on the dining table. There is a stack to use on shelf near the table.

Televisions

Feel free to log into either TV with your own streaming accounts (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc.)

The basement TV has a single remote that lets you choose Apps and control the volume.

The Living Room TV has one remote for the TV, but the sound level is on a separate remote.

Sleeping Arrangements

The bedding for the sleeper sofa upstairs is in the chest in front of the sofa. When you open up the sofa to convert to a bed, you will find 2 pieces of 2×4 underneath. These are to provide some additional support to the frame at the head of the bead. There is a memory foam topper folded up behind the sofa which you can put on top of the sofa bad when it is rolled out.

There is extra bedding and towels in the drawers under the bed in the master bedroom.

The sectional sofa in the lower level family room is also a sleeper. The topper is currently downstairs folded in the corner. Feel free to bring it upstairs to the guest room if that is the sleeper sofa that will be used more often. Bedding for the downstairs sleeper are in the storage area of the basement in two large clear plastic bins on the small wooden shelf to the right as you walk in.

Patio

Please water the plants and beds. The larger plantings around the parimeter in particular need lots of water, as well as the hosta & flowers on either side of the driveway. Gisele will also come by a couple of times for supplementary watering.

Help yourself to the hot peppers and herbs. If there are extra hot peppers, it would be great if you could put them in a plastic zip bag in the freezer. Thank you!

Miscellaneous

You are welcome to use our bicycles (2). Please be sure to lock them up. There is a lock provided (combination 5105). Two helmets are available for your use also.

Please bring your own beach chairs and beach towels. We do not have any here.

The upstairs guest bathroom cold water faucet has recently developed a leak (apologies for this – we did not have a chance to get it fixed). The leak can be stopped by backing away from full off a bit when not using.

There is another very occasional water issue… when it rains extremely heavy with a southerly wind, some water makes its way under the south facing second story window and drips on the stairs. We are having this fixed soon when the exterior of the house gets painted. But if it happens while you are here, just place some towlels where it is dripping. It will stop when the rain lets up.

Our wonderful housekeeper Gisele will come to clean the house on Wednesday August 2 likely around late morning (and again after you check out). Gisele has her own code for the door so you do not need to be home.

Garbage and recycling pick up is Friday mornings.

Check Out – Thursday 17 August noon

Please place all dirty bedding and towels in the garage in front of the washing machine. If you are able to start a load or two that would be greatly appreciated!

Remember to log out of your TV accounts.
